Level / Game Designer

Remote - Full-Time

Smobler Studios is looking for a talented, passionate and driven Level/Game Designer who will help develop metaverse experiences and design solutions appropriate to context, design requirements, and brand guidelines. Responsibilities

  • Build, create and develop metaverse experiences, using The Sandbox’s proprietary software, Game Maker
  • Develop designs that meets quality parameters and design solutions
  • To work with creative team to come up with concepts, prepare drawings, models, and renderings.
  • Collaborate across professional disciplines throughout all phases of the project
  • Deliver quality work on schedule and adhere to our best practices, technical guidelines and documentation
  • Communicate and work closely with our creative and project management team
  • Stay updated with design, gameplay mechanism trends, and techniques.
  • Represent the studio in a professional manner at all times

Requirements

  • Proficient in Game Maker and basic knowledge of VoxEdit
  • Love for gaming and a huge fan of building/construction, survival, crafting and rpg games.
  • Background in one of the following fields will be highly considered: Architecture, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Exhibition Design, Retail and POP Design,  and Game Development.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and able to work  with minimal supervision
  • Understands creative direction and open to feedback
  • Works well under pressure and dependable
  • Experience in The Sandbox’s Creator and Game Maker Fund project is a bonus

Voxel Artist

Remote - Project Based

Smobler Studios is looking for talented, passionate and driven Voxel Artists with an eye for detail to join us! Come be part of our inclusive team culture that focuses on creativity collaboration, commitment to deliver high quality projects. We value a great sense of humor, optimism, great attitude to learning, adaptability and fun!

Responsibilities

  • Create and animate voxel assets using The Sandbox’s proprietary software, VoxEdit
  • Deliver high quality work and adhere to our best practices, technical guidelines and documentation
  • Communicate and work closely with our creative and project management team
  • Create marketing materials using Light Tracer or any other gltf rendering software
  • Represent the studio in a professional manner at all times

Requirements

  • Experience in 3D modeling, animation and voxel art
  • Highly creative problem solver with an ability to translate ideas into voxel art
  • Background in one of the following fields will be highly considered: Architecture, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Exhibition Design, Retail and POP Design, Fine Arts and Game Development.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Understands creative direction and open to feedback
  • Works well under pressure and is dependable
  • Experience in The Sandbox’s Creator and Game Maker Fund project is a bonus
